These yummy treats are customizable. While I like mine fully loaded (nuts, raisins, pineapples, dates), I do have friends who are nut-adverse, or they prefer walnuts over pecans, and some prefer no raisins.
They are delicious for breakfast and perfect for a midday snack; pack them for your picnic, pool party, or hostess gift.

For me, holiday dreaming is a twist on the traditional German Chocolate Cake. For one thing, mine is Gluten-Free, though you would never know; the layers are rich and moist. Next, each layer is filled with the traditional coconut pecan caramel, and last but definitely not least, the whole is frosted with a mouth-wateringly smooth, delicate whipped expresso cream!
